Taking its name from one of the most popular models in the Italian manufacturer’s history, the Fiat Seicento (originally intended to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the Fiat 600) has become a huge success in its own right. The Fiat Seicento was first introduced in 1998 when it replaced the Fiat Cinquecento. Indeed the Fiat Seicento continued much of the styling of the Cinquecento including the same engines and much of the same dimensions. The car has come in for some criticism for its short front-end, which has earned low crash test ratings, but the Fiat Seicento has rarely wavered in popularity.
